Car impounded for burnouts

On May 7 police responded to a call from members of the public of a vehicle doing burnouts in Kingscote. Police found this vehicle on Cygnet Rd conducting a wheel spin at the time. A Wisanger youth, 16, was reported for the offence and his vehicle impounded.

Drink-driving

On May 8 a 29-year-old Brownlow man was reported for driving with .135 per cent of alcohol in his blood. He was disqualified from driving for six months.

Lost passport

Police took a report on May 8 from a Parndana woman for the loss of her two-year-old daughter’s NZ passport.

Cannabis

On May 8 police attended an Emu Bay residence and found a quantity of dried cannabis plus equipment. The person concerned will attend court over this matter.

Safe stolen

On May 10 a Kingscote man had a safe and a quantity of jewellery taken from his home. Police are continuing their investigations. The safe is grey, 30cm square with a combination lock on the front. Anybody with any information is requested to contact the Kangaroo Island Police.

Charges over Shed

An American River woman has been charged with offences in relation to the misappropriation of money from The American River Sports and Community Association.
