KINGSCOTE MEN
Ozone Seafront Hotel Par Competition 27/4/08
Fifteen players braved the very unpredictable weather conditions ranging from calm and sunny on one hole to squally rain and even hail the next.
The A Grade was a very even competition with the top three players all finishing square with the card, so it was down to a countback.
Raymond ‘Rocky’ Uren was judged winner, Clayton Morrison runner up and Eddie Smith was again around the mark, third.
Dion Fulwood was clearly the winner of B Grade finishing seven holes in front on +3.
Mark Virgo was runner up with –4 after another three-way countback from Danny Lovering and Robert Chirgwin.
C Grade honours were taken out by the shortest player on the course with Laighton Virgo +1 winning from Peter Young +1 on yet another countback.
The competition on Sunday also incorporated a team event with each group comprising of an A, B and C Grader.
This was taken out by Eddie Smith, Dion Fulwood and Peter Young.
It’s great to see all grades contested so evenly apart from Dion’s stellar performance in the B Grade with a CCR of +2, he was the only one to damage his handicap if only slightly.
A big thank you to our sponsors on the day, the Ozone Seafront Hotel, once again greatly appreciated.
With the blustery conditions, there will be plenty of fallen limbs to clean up at our ‘Working Bee’ on Saturday morning at 9am.
See you there.
